Pulser for Fuel Pumps (Circuit and Design Ideas, March 1999):
There were a couple of omissions to this item. The second paragraph had a clause missing, and should read as follows: 'Atmospheric pressure forces fuel from the tank into the chamber through a one-way valve, during this energised state, then a return spring delivers fuel to the engine, via another one-way valve, when the solenoid is released' An earth symbol was omitted from the circuit, and connects to the junction of R2 and C1 at the bottom of the circuit. Finally, A table of suggested resistor values for R3 was omitted, and is as follows: 4.7k = 80ppm 3.9k = 95ppm 3.3k = 110ppm 2.7k = 130ppm 2.2k = 150ppm Our apologies to Graham Leadbeater for these errors in his prize winning circuit.
