Minimal LS120 SuperDisk Floppy Drive Adapter PCB - Project and PCB Order Page
This PCB can be used to adapt a Slimline LS120 SuperDisk Floppy drive (model LKM-FC33-5 and others) to attach to a regular 40pin IDE and floppy power interface. You can order the PCB or download the design files below. Please note that construction is somewhat challenging, requiring soldering of a JAE Board-to-Board Connector. See here for the alternative version intended to mount inside a 3.5" floppy bay.
To construct one, you will need:
A slimline LS120 SuperDisk Floppy drive (models LKM-FC33-5, LKM-FE33-5 - probably others will be suitable).
The PCB (You can order a PCB below or download the Gerbers or Kicad 5 design files and have the PCB fabricated yourself.
Connectors:
JAE Electronics KX14-50K5D-RE Board-to-Board Connector (do not currently appear easily available - extract from a IDE slim drive adapter).
Standard 2x20-Pin 2.54mm pitch header.
4-Pin 2.54mm pitch header.
