| These fully soldered adapters can be used to connect a Slimline LS120 SuperDisk Floppy drive (model LKM-FC33-5 and others) to a regular 40pin IDE cable and 4pin floppy power connector. To see the adapter in use see this Vogons forum thread post.
NOTE: Some of the adapters use the slim version of the connector so insulating tape has been placed on the adapter to prevent electrically shorting when it comes into contact with the metal back of the LS-120 drive. | |

Note this is the "minimal" version and unlike the original PCB (which had a built-in mount design), this adapter is not intended for permanent installation unless you work out a way to securely mount and install your LS-120 drive and adapter into your PC case: Possibly you can design a 3D-printed housing which mounts the drive in to your PC like a regular 3.5" floppy and secures the adapter in place, or alternately use hot glue or adhesive tape to secure the adapter in place.
NOTE: The adapters have been hand soldered and tested and may show some signs of manual construction. If you prefer to build it yourself you can find the design files on the PCB order page. |
